Sibby Barbosa has lived in Naugatuck since the age of 6, when he and his family immigrated from Brazil, and has spent most of the last 30 years servicing the borough's automotive needs.

He started working with cars at the age of 12 at the present Cumberland Farms location on Rubber Ave, which was a Chevron Station years ago. He started there pumping gas and sweeping floors.Sibby has expanded his interest of cars into a successful business. Sibby is a graduate of Naugatuck High School and Emmett O'Brien Technical College in Ansonia.

Sibby opened the doors to Sibby’s Automotive, Inc. in 1986. He has many years of experience in the foreign and domestic automobile fields. Because of the strong pride he and his employees take in their work, and the fact that customer satisfaction is always a priority, the number of customers has increased steadily each year.

Sibby's Automotive specializes in general repairs, towing and used and classic car sales. Sibby's tows for area authorities such as The Naugatuck Police Dept & Connecticut State Troopers; He also supplies road side service for Motor Clubs such as Agero and Geico.
