Recycling Plant Operations Manager in Peachtree Networks

Responsibilities:

 

Planning & Reporting Recycling Plant

 

  • Identify bottlenecks. Adjusting and reallocate resources strategically.
  • Report on production progress. (monthly, quarterly and annually)
  • Define, propose and implement the annual plan.
  • Delegate company resources such as warehouse workers and equipment to achieve the company targets.
  • Identify and set the target for projects’ timeframes or schedules.
  • Manage and evaluate procedures to ensure productivity, efficiency, accuracy and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for catastrophic loss (CAT) situations.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

 

Budget & costs

 

  • Forecast, negotiate, organize and agree on budgets and timeframes.
  • Analyze budgets and continuously monitor and control production costs and identify/rectify waste measures.
  • Implement cost control programs/procedures.

 

Staff

 

  • Follow up around targets and communicate it with staff effectively.
  • Manage all teams within the production department (contracts/leave/pay/review employees scheduling) in conjunction with the HR department.
  • Motivate, support and guide the production department to meet the target and achieve higher targets.
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff, identify staff’s shortcomings, errors, provide training for improvement.
  • Follow RAEE (E-waste certification in Latinoamerica) procedure and execute the right work for environment purposes.
  • Supervise, review and revise crew scheduling, if required.
  • Oversee and review time and attendance of staff, as well as vacation approvals.
  • Monitor and regulate staffing needs to ensure optimum staffing levels are supporting business demands.
  • Interview and hire production staff in conjunction with Operations Manager and/or General Manager approval to support operational needs.
  • Coordinate after-hours emergency crews and work as required.
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and performance management by coaching, leading, mentoring and motivating employees.
  • Identify performance measurements and propose actions needed to improve performance, ensuring accuracy and documentation.

Safety

  • Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Conducts safety orientations and meetings to ensure that established policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Audit all personal uniform requirements and needs.
  • Ensure attention to detail and safeguarding of other people’s property and information.
  • Practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite.
  • follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.

Quality

  • Determine quality control standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
  • Perform job site visits to ensure the quality of service and budgetary compliance.
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures in association with varying protocols for restoration work.
  • Verify all PTNW documents are completed accurately; maintaining employee records and compliance; ensuring compliance of all employees and subcontractors with provincial laws and PTNW policy at all PTNW locations and job sites.
  • Support certification department for ISO 9001 and RAEE.

 

 

Other Tasks

 

  • Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Utilize equipment in the most productive way, arrange maintenance on equipment, assist in the equipment procurement process.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments for job completion.
  • Oversee and supervise all functions including receiving of components, inventory control, production, and interim quality checks and shipping; assuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Collaborate with management for preparation of on-call schedule.
  • Assist in large or complex losses, to include organizing heavy equipment.
  • Audit and review emergency paperwork and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
  • Comply with all PTNW policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and customers, both verbal and written.
  • Have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 

Qualifications

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  • Post-secondary courses in business, project or construction management
  • 5 years Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in recycling plants
  • Experience and knowledge of provincial health and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate computer and/or tablet/iPad experience with Google Suite (preferable)
  • Willing to work evenings, on-call and weekends when requested
  • Periodic travel may be required
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Studies on Occupational Health technologist or health and safety at work, with one year of experience.
  • Management of height.
  • COPASST support, investigation of work accidents, indicators and safety inspections.
  • The course of 50 hours SGSST and have certification on that.
