Summary

Copper Scrap Prices Record Widespread Declines
North American copper scrap prices declined across most listed grades on the ScrapMonster Price Index. #1 Copper Bare Bright, #1 and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing, and #3 Light Copper each fell by $0.17 per lb, while other grades recorded smaller declines.
Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel Prices Remain Stable
All listed aluminum scrap grades held steady, including 6063 Extrusions, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast, Old Sheet and UBC. Steel and stainless steel scrap prices also recorded no daily changes across all listed categories.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices Move Lower
Brass and bronze scrap prices registered marginal declines across most listed grades. 70/30, 80/20 and 85/15 Brass, Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass each dropped by $0.04 per lb, while Brass Radiator/Fe and Brass Radiator Ends declined by $0.01 per lb.

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster): North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, November 5, 2026. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered a marginal decline, whereas all other scrap categories held steady on the Index.

Market Snapshot

Copper: Prices declined across most grades, with #1 Copper Wire, #2 Copper Wire, #1 Bare Bright and #3 Light Copper down $0.17/lb each.
Aluminum: All listed grades remained unchanged.
Steel: All listed grades held steady.
Stainless Steel: No price changes across all listed grades.
Brass/Bronze: Prices declined by $0.04/lb for most grades, while Brass Radiator/Fe and Brass Radiator Ends fell by $0.01/lb each.

Copper Scrap Prices

Alternator scrap saw a dip of $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing dropped $0.17 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing was also down by $0.17 per Lb. #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.17 per Lb.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery witnessed a dip of $0.03 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were also down by $0.03 per Lb on the Index. #3 Copper-Light Copper recorded a decline of $0.17 per Lb.

Copper Radiator scrap fell by $0.05 per Lb on the Index.

Copper Transformer Scrap and CU Yokes prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb, respectively.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices remained stable on the Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices dropped by $0.03 per Lb each over the day, while Heater Cores prices were down by $0.02 per Lb on the Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units, and Xmas Lights reported a decline of $0.01 per Lb each from the previous day’s price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. 3003 Scrap was flat on the Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe also were unchanged.

6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meanwhile, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the prior day.

Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on the Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices were flat on the Index.

Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets, and MLC Clips held steady at the previous day’s price levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices also remained unchanged.

Old Cast and UBC witnessed no change from the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF prices also remained unchanged.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS were also unchanged on the Index.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on the Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap, and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices also remained flat compared with the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on the Index.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change from the previous day’s level.

330 SS prices were flat.

Also, 316 SS Solid prices remained unchanged on the Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed a modest decline on the Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap, and Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by $0.04 per Lb each on the Index.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb each when compared with the previous day's price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices declined by $0.04 per Lb on the Index.
