Copper Scrap Prices Advance Across Select Grades
Chinese copper scrap prices recorded gains, with #1 Bare Bright, #1 Copper Wire and Tubing, and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing each increasing CNY 250 per MT. Insulated Copper Wire and Heater Cores also registered smaller gains, while other grades remained unchanged.
Aluminum and Stainless Steel Scrap Prices Move Higher
Aluminum scrap prices increased by CNY 50–100 per MT across all listed grades, reflecting broad-based gains. Stainless steel scrap prices also strengthened, with increases ranging from CNY 150 to CNY 350 per MT, led by 309 SS, 310 SS and 316 SS Solid.
Steel and Brass/Bronze Scrap Markets Remain Stable
Chinese #1 HMS and Cast Iron scrap prices recorded no daily variation. Brass Radiator, Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices also remained unchanged, indicating continued price stability in these segments.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Chinese scrap metal prices mostly recorded modest gains on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, November 5, 2026. Copper, aluminum, and stainless steel scrap prices moved higher, while brass/bronze scrap and steel scrap remained steady.

Market Snapshot

Copper: #1 Bare Bright, #1 and #2 Copper Wire rose CNY 250/MT each. Insulated Copper Wire increased CNY 100/MT and Heater Cores CNY 50/MT. Other grades remained unchanged.
Aluminum: 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Ingots, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast, and Old Sheet gained CNY 100/MT each. Other listed grades rose CNY 50/MT each.
Steel: #1 HMS and Cast Iron prices remained unchanged.
Stainless Steel: Prices increased across all listed grades, gaining CNY 150–350/MT.
Brass/Bronze: Brass Radiator, Red Brass, and Yellow Brass prices remained unchanged.

Copper Scrap Prices

Copper scrap prices gained across select categories on the Index.

#1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing both surged CNY 250 per MT compared with the previous day. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased CNY 250 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire with 85% Recovery climbed CNY 100 per MT, while Heater Cores prices saw a jump of CNY 50 per MT.

The rest of the scrap categories, including Copper Transformer Scrap, Cu/Al Radiator Scrap, Harness Wire with 35% Recovery, #2 Insulated Copper Wire with 50% Recovery, Cu Yokes, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors, and Sealed Units, remained flat compared with the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions and Aluminum Ingots each increased CNY 100 per MT from the previous day.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers reported a jump of CNY 50 per MT each.

E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast, and Old Sheet increased by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.

Meanwhile, UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices inched up by CNY 50 per MT each from the previous day's prices.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices recorded no variation on the Index.

Cast Iron Scrap also recorded no change.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS scrap prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT.

304 SS Solid, 304 SS Turning and Shred SS recorded an increase of CNY 250 per MT from the previous day's prices.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid each saw a rise of CNY 350 per MT.

310 SS posted the largest stainless steel move, recording a jump of CNY 350 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

Brass and bronze scrap prices in China recorded no change on the Index.

Brass Radiator, Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices held steady when compared with the prior day’s prices.
