The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.01 per Lb over the day.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices tumbled on ScrapMonster Price Index as on February 28th, Friday. Aluminum and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were down over the previous day. Meantime, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were down by $0.03 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright too dropped by $0.03 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices tumbled by $0.03 per Lb from previous day’s level.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed marginal decline by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged. CuYokes prices were down by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on February 28th, 2020.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb.
Heater cores prices were flat on Index.
The price of Romex Wire witnessed no change during the day.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap were down by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb each.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions and 5052 Scrap price were down by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.
6061 Extrusions recorded no change on Index.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Aluminum Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged on Index. Aluminum Transformer prices too saw no change. Breakage 50% Recovery prices held steady on 28th February, 2020.
Chrome Wheels remained unchanged on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire and Litho Sheets inched lower by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.
MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet and Painted Siding prices held steady on Index.
UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices too remained unchanged on Index.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 28th February, 2020.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.
304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.
304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on February 28th, 2020.
309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region declined on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each on Friday, February 28th, 2020.
Brass Radiator scrap, Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged on Index.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each.
