19th December, 2019- North American Copper Scrap Prices Edged Higher on Index
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery witnessed no change when matched with the previous day.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index as on December 19th, Thursday. Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper and Stainless Steel scrap prices surged, whereas Aluminum and Brass/Bronze scrap prices remained flat on Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.02 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.02 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery witnessed no change when matched with the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator and Harness Wire 35% Recovery scrap were unmoved over the day.
Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged. Cu Yokes prices too were flat from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the prices of Heater Cores, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe saw no variation on December 19th, 2019.
Romex Wires prices saw no change on Index.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on December 19th, 2019.
E.C Aluminum Wire and Chrome Wheels and remained flat on Index.
Romex Wire, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained flat on Index.
The prices of #1 Busheling scrap held steady on Index.
#1 HMS reported no change on 19th December, 2019.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady over the previous day.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices reported no change.
301 SS and 304 SS Solid prices were up by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb each over the previous day.
304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on 19th December, 2019.
309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.
330 SS scrap prices were flat.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on Thursday, December 19th, 2019.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices were unchanged over the day.
