1st August, 2019-North American Scrap Metal Prices Declined on Index
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal decline on ScrapMonster Price Index as on August 1st, 2019. Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Aluminum and Copper scrap prices registered marginal decline, whereas Brass, Bronze and Stainless Steel scrap prices remained flat on Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.01 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery held flat over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices reported no change. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb.
The price of Copper Radiator scrap saw no change on Index.
Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged.
Cu Yokes prices reported no change over the previous day.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained flat on August 1st, 2019.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices witnessed no change over the day.
Romex Wire and Heater Cores prices were unchanged on Index.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices slipped by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were down by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too edged lower by $0.01 per Lb each.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions dropped by $0.01 per Lb each when compared with the prior day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on August 1st, 2019.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices declined by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips edged lower by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day price levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC were down by $0.01 per Lb each.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding prices saw dip of $0.01 per Lb each.
Zorba 90% NF prices held flat.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained flat.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on August 1st, 2019.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS and 301 SS prices held steady.
304 SS Solid prices remained unchanged over the previous day. 309 SS prices too reported no change in prices.
304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on August 1st, 2019.
310 SS and 330 SS prices held steady on Index.
Also, 316 SS Solid prices remained flat over the previous day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Thursday, August 1st, 2019.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
