24th January, 2018-North American Scrap Metal Prices Saw Moderate Rise on Index
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.72 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal uptick on ScrapMonster Price Index as on January 24th, Wednesday. Aluminum and Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered marginal increase.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose sharply by $0.09 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.09 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.09 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery registered marginal jump of $0.03 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.09 per Lb to touch $2.81 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap saw slight increase by $0.02 per Lb. Copper Transformer Scrap, Cu/Al Radiators, Cu/Al Radiators/Fe and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu Yokes edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on January 24th, 2018.
Heater Cores and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb each.
Romex Wire prices were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights witnessed no change on Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.72 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat at $0.69 per Lb and $0.67 per Lb respectively.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 24th January, 2018.
Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unchanged over the day.
Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels of $0.72 per Lb and $0.70 per Lb respectively.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $345 per MT.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 24th January, 2018.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $260 per MT.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS and 301 SS prices increased marginally by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
304 SS Solid prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb to touch $0.50 per Lb as on January 24th.
The price of 304 SS Turning, 309 SS and 310 SS witnessed rise by $0.02 per Lb each.
316 SS Solid scrap prices inched higher by $0.02 per Lb over the day.
330 SS prices settled at $1.16 per Lb, increasing by $0.03 per Lb.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator prices jumped higher by $0.02 per Lb each on January 24th, 2018.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends remained flat on Index.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices rose by $0.02 per Lb each.
