Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Posted Mixed Trend on the Index- December 18, 2025

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 100 per MT.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices recorded mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing witnessed a dip in prices by CNY 250 per MT each over the previous day.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also edged lower by CNY 250 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 100 per MT.

The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery recorded no variation over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were flat on the Index.

Cu/Al Radiators and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady as of Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 100 per MT.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained flat on the Index.

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices also remained flat.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were unchanged on the Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady on the Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices reported no variation as of December 18, 2025.

UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices were flat from the previous day’s price.

#1 HMS prices held steady as of December 18, 2025.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

310 SS prices witnessed a jump of CNY 150 per MT.

Also, 316 SS Solid and Shred SS scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT and CNY 50 per MT respectively as of Thursday, December 18, 2025.

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no variation as of December 18, 2025.
