August 6, 2025: Scrap Gold and Platinum Prices Dropped, Silver Up on the Index
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 2.72 per Oz.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold and platinum prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined as of Wednesday, August 6, 2025 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Silver scrap prices increased marginally over the previous day.
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 2.72 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap inched lower by $ 3.44 and $ 4.20 per Oz respectively. 9-carat gold scrap also went lower by $ 1.72 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap saw cut of $ 4.37 per Oz to reach $ 957.34 per Oz. Silver scrap prices increased marginally by $0.16 per Oz when compared with the previous day.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 2.54 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap were down $ 3.25 and $ 3.97 per Oz respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also was down $ 1.63 per Oz. Platinum scrap prices fell by 4.37 per Oz. Meantime, Non-hallmarked silver scrap prices recorded modest jump by $0.14 per Lb.
