July 25, 2025: Chinese Copper, Brass/Bronze Prices Saw Minor Decline on the Index
Shred SS prices were unmoved over the previous day’s price.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): As of Friday, July 25, 2025, Chinese Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices recorded modest decline on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Aluminum and Stainless scrap prices were flat when compared with the previous day’s prices. Additionally, Steel scrap prices held steady on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 650 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also declined by CNY 650 per MT each.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 300 per MT upon comparison with the previous day’s price. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices declined by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
Copper Transformer scrap prices were flat on the Index.
Cu Yokes scrap prices inched up by CNY 150 per MT.
Cu/Al Radiator prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were down by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day’s prices.
Heater Cores prices dropped by CNY 200 per MT as of Friday, July 25, 2025.
Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed decline by CNY 50 per MT each.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions prices were unchanged over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots also held steady on a daily basis.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers witnessed no variation on the Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were flat as of July 25, 2025.
The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF were stagnant from the previous day’s price.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady as of July 25, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were flat on the Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices held steady on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices witnessed no variation when compared with the prior day.
310 SS scrap prices also reported no change as of July 25, 2025.
Shred SS prices were unmoved over the previous day’s price.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded decline on the Index.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 50 pert MT as of July 25, 2025.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices also declined by CNY 100 per MT each on the Index.
