Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- July 11, 2025
The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,580.00 a day before to $2,609.00 per tonne.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from July 3 to July 10, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The aluminum scrap prices in the region witnessed increase over the prior week. However, a few commodities held steady.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and Al/Cu Radiators reported the largest increase on the Index. The other scrap commodities to witness notable jump in prices were Breakage 50% Recovery and Mixed Aluminum Turnings.
Prices for Al/Cu Radiators/Fe increased by 6.86% from the previous week. From $2.04 per pound at the beginning of the week, prices increased by $0.14 per pound to close at $2.18 per pound on the Index.

The price of Al/Cu Radiators also recorded a jump by 6.22% during the previous week. Breakage 50% Recovery and Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices increased as well, by 2.86% and 2.13% respectively.
The only aluminum scrap commodities to maintain previous week price levels were Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Transformers.
The regional scrap aluminum prices mostly edged higher when compared with the prior week. The top three gainers were Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators and Breakage 50% Recovery.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Chrome Wheels, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, , Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, Zorba 90% NF and Litho Sheets also recorded increase over the previous week.
In the meantime, Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Transformers prices held steady over the prior week.
The prices mostly reported increase when compared with the week before.
The price of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe increased 6.93% during the course of the week, from $2.02 per pound at the start of the week to $2.16 per pound at the close.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators increased by 6.28% on a weekly basis, from $2.23 per pound to $2.37 per pound in the week that ended on July 10, 2025. Below is the weekly price chart for the commodity:
Breakage 50% Recovery prices were up by 2.94% on a weekly basis.
All other aluminum scrap categories in the region saw price increases during the course of the week, with the exception of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Transformers.
The regional prices of all scrap aluminum categories, except a few, posted week-on-week jump.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators and Breakage 50% Recovery recorded the highest jump in prices during the week.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe on the Index closed at $2.20 per pound, up $0.14 per pound. The commodity saw an increase of 6.80% in price week over week.
Al/Cu Radiators prices increased from $2.27 per Lb at the beginning of the week to close at $2.41 per Lb.
Prices for Breakage 50% Recovery scrap increased by 2.78% from the previous week. The commodity's price increased from $0.36 per Lb to $0.37 per Lb over the previous week. The weekly price movement for Breakage 50% Recovery scrap is seen in the chart below:
E.C. Aluminum Wire witnessed the least increase, with prices recording nominal week-on-week rise by 0.85%.
In the meantime, prices of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Transformers held steady upon comparison with the previous week’s price.
The aluminum scrap commodities in the region witnessed no change during the week ending July 10, 2025.
The prices of Old Cast and Old Sheet registered no variation during the week. The closing price of both the above commodities stood steady at CNY 18,400 per MT.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions recorded no change. Also, Aluminun Radiators and E.C. Aluminum Wire prices were flat over the previous day’s prices. The below chart depicts the weekly price variation in the prices of E.C. Aluminum Wire.
Also, prices of Aluminum Ingots, Aluminum Transformers, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF remained stagnant on the Index during the week ended July 10, 2025.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices witnessed a decline of 0.82% from the prior week’s prices. The commodity’s prices closed at INR 241,000 per Ton as of Thursday, July 10, 2025.
The Aluminum ingots prices also recorded marginal dip by 0.79% on the ScrapMonster Index. The weekly price chart of Aluminum ingots scrap is provided below:
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,611.00 per tonne as of July 10, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,580.00 a day before to $2,609.00 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks edged higher modestly over the previous day to close at 395,725 tonnes as of July 10, 2025, as compared with 390,800 tonnes a day before.
