May 19, 2025: Scrap Gold and Platinum Prices Dipped, Silver Up on the Index
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 4.57 per Oz.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold and platinum prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined as of Monday, May 19, 2025 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Silver scrap prices increased marginally over the previous day.
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 4.57 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap inched lower by $ 5.86 and $ 7.16 per Oz respectively. 9-carat gold scrap also went lower by $ 2.93 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap saw cut of $ 3.65 per Oz to reach $ 718.91 per Oz. Silver scrap prices increased marginally by $0.04 per Oz when compared with the previous day.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 4.33 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap were down $ 5.55 and $ 6.77 per Oz respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also was down $ 2.77 per Oz. Platinum scrap prices fell by 3.65 per Oz. Meantime, Non-hallmarked silver scrap prices recorded modest jump by $0.04 per Lb.
