Eagle Gold Mine Output Hit Seasonal Low in Q1 This Year
The cumulative gold production during the quarter totalled 24,358 ounces.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Victoria Gold Corp. declared operational highlights at its Eagle Gold Mine during the initial three-month period of the current year. The cumulative gold production during the quarter totalled 24,358 ounces.
The company press release noted that the seasonal operations plan for 2022 included curtailment of ore stacking on the heap leach pad from January to March- regarded as the coldest period of the year. The company completed a six-week maintenance program on the crushing and stacking facilities. The exceptional cold weather conditions impacted the operations during Q1 2022, it said.

John McConnell, President and CEO, Victoria Gold said that it has successfully completed the six-week long winter maintenance program as per schedule and has resumed stacking on the heap leach pad. It expects significant increase in stacking rates, along with gold production, as it heads into spring, McConnell added.
The gold production during the quarter hit seasonally low level, very much in line with expectation, mainly on account of the limited ore stacking on the heap leach pad. The tonnes stacked on the heap leach pad during Q1 this year were in line with the same quarter a year above. The total tonnes mined recorded decline year-on-year. Also, the waste mined was lower.
