U.S. Steel Named to the Indiana Manufacturers Association Hall of Fame
The award is also in recognition of U.S. Steel’s ongoing commitment to over 4,000 employees in the region.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Pittsburgh-based leading American steelmaker, United States Steel Corporation (U.S. Steel), has been inducted into the 2019 Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA) Hall of Fame. The company was selected by the Association for its positive achievements and contributions to the steel industry. The award is also in recognition of U.S. Steel’s ongoing commitment to over 4,000 employees in the region.
Brian Burton, President and CEO, IMA congratulated U.S. Steel for their outstanding work and continued dedication in making Indiana a manufacturing powerhouse. Meantime, Dan Killeen, General Manager, Gary Works stated that the company is honoured to be inducted into the Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame. He dedicated the honor to the thousands of employees of the company and their dedicated hard work in upholding highest production standards.

The Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame Award was instituted in 2016 by the Indianapolis-based trade group with the aim of recognizing and spreading awareness about positive contributions by manufacturers in the region.
It must be noted that manufacturing industry continues to remain as the leading job creator in Indiana, supporting over 545,000 jobs in the state. Estimates indicate that manufacturing accounts for nearly one-fifth of the total Indiana workforce.
IMA exclusively focuses on manufacturing. The trade association represents nearly 1,100 companies across Indiana.
