Aluminum Scrap Prices Record Modest Gains
Aluminum scrap prices increased by CNY 50 per MT across several grades, including 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Ingots, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast and Old Sheet. Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Transformers, UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices remained stable.
Stainless Steel Declines as Other Scrap Categories Hold Steady
Selected stainless steel grades, including 309 SS, 310 SS and 316 SS Solid, declined by CNY 50 per MT. Meanwhile, #1 HMS and Cast Iron scrap prices remained unchanged, as did brass and bronze categories, including Brass Radiator, Red Brass and Yellow Brass.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Chinese scrap metal prices recorded a mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Monday, October 26, 2026. Copper and aluminum scrap prices edged higher, stainless steel declined, while brass/bronze and steel scrap prices remained steady.

Copper scrap gained up to CNY 50 per MT, led by #1 Copper Bare Bright and wire/tubing grades.
Aluminum scrap inched up CNY 50 per MT across extrusions, E.C. wire, old cast and sheet grades.
Select stainless steel scrap grades fell CNY 50 per MT, with 316 SS Solid posting the largest percentage decline.
Steel scrap (#1 HMS, cast iron) and brass/bronze scrap were unchanged from the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

Copper scrap prices saw slight gains on the Index.

#1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing both increased by CNY 50 per MT compared to the previous day. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also edged higher by CNY 50 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire with 85% recovery, Heater Cores, and #2 Insulated Copper Wire (50% recovery) recorded no variation on the Index.

Copper Transformer scrap, Cu Yokes, Cu/Al Radiator scrap, and Harness Wire (35% recovery) held steady over the previous day. Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices also recorded no change.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions and Aluminum Ingots each rose by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers prices were unchanged on the Index.

E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast, and Old Sheet prices each gained CNY 50 per MT.

Meanwhile, UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices reported no variation from the previous day's levels.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at the previous day's levels.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Prices

201 SS, 304 SS Solid, and 304 SS Turning held a flat trend on the Index.

309 SS, 310 SS, and 316 SS Solid prices each dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

Shred SS prices held steady on the Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

Brass/Bronze scrap prices in China recorded no change on the Index.

Brass Radiator, Red Brass, and Yellow Brass all held steady over the previous day's prices.
