Old Cast or Cast Aluminum scrap is generally found from engine blocks, cast grills and other car parts. It must be clean in the sense that it must be free of steel or rubber attachments.
What Is Old Cast?
Old Cast or Cast Aluminum scrap is generally found from engine blocks, cast grills and other car parts. It must be clean in the sense that it must be free of steel or rubber attachments. Although they are big in size, they are not so heavy.
Cast aluminum is made in factories by using molds. The most common method is to pour molten aluminum into a mold of desired pattern, although vacuum process is also used sometimes to make cast aluminum. Aluminum castings are generally stronger than die or sand castings.
