November 18, 2025: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Mostly Declined on the Index
The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): As of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Chinese Copper scrap prices recorded modest decline on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Brass/Bronze and Stainless Steel scrap prices also dropped when compared with the previous day. In the meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices held steady on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 650 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also declined by CNY 650 per MT each.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 300 per MT upon comparison with the previous day’s price. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were down by CNY 50 per MT each over the previous day’s prices.
Cu/Al Radiator prices dipped by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day’s prices.
Heater Cores prices dropped by CNY 250 per MT as of Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT each on a daily basis.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions prices were unchanged over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots also were flat on a daily basis.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers witnessed no variation on the Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices also recorded no change as of November 18, 2025.
The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF were unmoved from the previous day’s price.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady as of November 18, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were down by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices also dropped by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices witnessed a decline of CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.
310 SS scrap prices also were down by CNY 150 per MT as of November 18, 2025.
Shred SS prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day’s price.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded slight decline on the Index.
Brass Radiator scrap prices reported decline by CNY 100 per MT as of November 18, 2025.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT each on the Index.
