Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- September 12, 2025
The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase to $2,656.00 when compared with $2,623.50 per tonne a day before.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from September 5 to 11, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
North America Prices
The regional aluminum scrap prices remained unchanged over the prior week.
E.C. Aluminum Wire prices held steady at $1.18 per Lb during the prior week The graph provided below depicts the weekly price movement in E.C. Aluminum Wire:
6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, and 3003 Scrap prices witnessed no change from the prior week.
There was no variation in prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Radiators/Fe.
Also, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels and Mixed Aluminum Turnings held steady on the Index during the week ended July 17, 2025.
No change in price was seen in MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.
The regional scrap aluminum prices recorded no variation in prices.
The prices of all scrap aluminum commodities in the region held steady.
The prices of all aluminum scrap commodities were flat on the Index.
The scrap commodities that remained constant during the week included E.C. Aluminum Wire, 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.

All aluminum scrap commodities in the region reported increase in prices during the week ending September 11, 2025.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices increased the most, rising by 1.1% each. The prices of both the above commodities ended the week at CNY 18,450 per MT.
6063 Extrusions prices recorded a jump of 1.08%.
E.C. Aluminum Wire and Aluminum ingots prices were up by 1.02% and 0.97% respectively.
The Aluminum Transformers prices inched higher by 0.53% over the previous day’s prices.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Zorba 90% NF went higher by 0.51% and 0.50% respectively.
The least increase in prices was seen in UBC, whose prices were up by 0.39% during the week ended September 11, 2025. The prices ended the week at CNY 12,750 per MT, when compared with CNY 12,700 per MT at the beginning of the week. The below chart depicts the weekly price variation in the prices of the commodity:
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices were down marginally by 2.36% during the week. The prices edged lower from INR 254,000 per Ton to INR 248,000 per Ton on the ScrapMonster Index. The weekly price chart of Aluminum utensil scrap is provided below:
The Aluminum ingots prices also recorded decline, with prices witnessing a week-on-week drop by INR 6,000 per Ton.
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,650.00 per tonne as of September 11, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase to $2,656.00 when compared with $2,623.50 per tonne a day before.
The LME Aluminum stocks remained flat over the day. The stocks were unchanged at 485,275 tonnes as of September 11, 2025. In the meantime, aluminum stocks recorded steady increase over the past ten days.
