September 11, 2025: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Edged Higher on the Index
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices witnessed a modest increase on ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, September 11, 2025. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices also were up from the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices were flat when matched with the prior day’s prices. Also, Steel scrap prices held steady on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 350 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing price saw a jump of CNY 350 per MT.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 350 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day’s price. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery witnessed a jump of CNY 100 per MT when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were flat on the Index.
Cu/Al Radiators saw an increase in prices by CNY 100 per MT.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were unchanged over the previous day.
The price of Heater Cores was up by CNY 100 per MT on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Meanwhile, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices held steady on the Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions recorded a jump of CNY 150 per MT in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots also were up by CNY 150 per MT.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers inched up by CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices increased by CNY 150 per MT on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices also edged higher by CNY 150 per MT each on September 11, 2025.
The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF were up by CNY 50 per MT from the previous day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on September 11, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices recorded no change on the Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices also were flat on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices were unchanged when compared with the prior day.
310 SS scrap prices recorded no variation as of September 11, 2025.
Shred SS prices held steady over the previous day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded increase from the previous day.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by CNY 50 per MT as of Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices also increased by CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.
