Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- August 15, 2025
The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal decline to $2,608.50 when compared with $2,626.00 per tonne a day before.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from August 8 to August 14, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
North America Prices
The regional aluminum scrap prices remained unchanged over the prior week.
E.C. Aluminum Wire prices witnessed no change in prices. The prices of the commodity held steady at $1.18 per Lb during the week.

6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, and 3003 Scrap prices witnessed no change from the prior week.
There was no variation in prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Radiators/Fe.
Also, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels and Mixed Aluminum Turnings held steady on the Index during the week ended August 14, 2025.
No change in price was seen in MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.
The regional scrap aluminum prices recorded no variation in prices.
6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding and 1100 Scrap held steady on the Index.
The prices of 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery were flat on the Index.
Also, Chrome Wheels, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices reported no change week-on-week.
The prices of all commodities were flat on the Index.
The scrap commodities that remained constant during the week included 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were flat. The prices of both the above commodities ended the week at CNY 18,250 per MT.
6063 Extrusions prices recorded no change.
E.C. Aluminum Wire and Aluminum ingots prices were unchanged over the previous week.
The Aluminum Transformers prices witnessed no variation from the prior week.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Zorba 90% NF were flat on the Index.

The Aluminum utensil scrap prices were flat during the week. The prices held steady at INR 245,000 per Ton on the ScrapMonster Index. The weekly price chart of Aluminum utensil scrap is provided below:
The Aluminum ingots prices also recorded no change, with prices maintaining previous week’s value of INR 254,000 per Ton.
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,608.50 per tonne as of August 14, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal decline to $2,608.50 when compared with $2,626.00 per tonne a day before.
The LME Aluminum stocks inched higher modestly over the previous day to close at 479,675 tonnes as of August 14, 2025, as compared with 478,625 tonnes a day before.
