Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- February 14, 2025
The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal decline from $2,628.50 a day before to $2,627.00 per tonne.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the past one-week period (February 7 to February 13, 2025) on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The regional aluminum scrap prices mostly remained unchanged over the prior week. However, prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices edged higher. Also, E.C. Aluminum Wire recorded decline.
The price of Al/Cu Radiators were up by 1.69% over the week. The prices inched higher from $1.77 per Lb a week before to $1.80 per Lb.
Also, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices witnessed a jump of 1.92%, rising from $1.56 per Lb at the start of the week to end at $1.59 per Lb. The chart below represents the price movement in Al/Cu Radiators/Fe during the past week:
The E.C. Aluminum Wire were down marginally by 0.85% over the previous week. The commodity prices closed the week at $1.17 per Lb, falling by $0.01 per Lb from the week’s opening price of $1.18 per Lb.
6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, and 3003 Scrap prices witnessed no change from the prior week.
There was no variation in prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, and Chrome Wheels held steady on the Index during the week ended February 13, 2025.
No change in price was seen in Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF.
The regional scrap aluminum prices recorded no variation in prices, except for Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and E.C. Aluminum Wire.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe edged higher by 1.69% and 1.92% respectively.
The price of E.C. Aluminum Wire recorded a decline from $1.18 per Lb to close the week at $1.17 per Lb. The commodity’s prices registered week-on-week decline by 0.85%.
The prices of all other scrap aluminum commodities in the region held steady.
Two scrap commodities- Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded week-on-week increase in prices.
Only E.C. Aluminum Wire witnessed decline in prices during the week ended February 13, 2025.
The prices of all other commodities were flat on the Index.
The scrap commodities that remained constant during the week included 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery, Chrome Wheels, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF

The scrap aluminum prices in the region recorded no variation in prices, except for Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and E.C. Aluminum Wire.
The price of E.C. Aluminum Wire recorded a decline from $1.18 per Lb to close the week at $1.17 per Lb. The commodity’s prices registered week-on-week decline by 0.85%.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators increased from $1.79 per Lb to $1.82 per Lb during the course of the week. Also, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices were up by 1.9% week-on-week, rising from $1.58 per Lb to $1.61 per Lb.
The prices of all other scrap aluminum commodities in the region held steady.

The aluminum scrap commodities in the region reported no change in prices during the week ending February 13, 2025.
6063 Extrusions prices held steady at CNY 18,300 per MT. The below chart depicts the weekly price variation in the prices of the commodity:
Also, Aluminum Radiators, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Aluminum Ingots and Aluminum Transformers prices held steady on the Index.
No change in prices were reported in Old Cast and Old Sheet, whose prices remained at CNY 18,100 per MT each on the Index.
The UBC prices were unchanged at CNY 12,500 per MT.
Also, Zorba 90% NF prices recorded no variation, maintaining the previous week’s price of CNY 9,850 per MT during the week ended February 13, 2025.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices were flat week-on-week, recording no change from the previous week’s price of INR 248,000 per Ton on the ScrapMonster Index.
The Aluminum ingots prices also held steady, upon comparison with the prior week’s prices. The weekly price chart of Aluminum ingots scrap is provided below:
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,612.50 per tonne as of February 13, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal decline from $2,628.50 a day before to $2,627.00 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks declined modestly over the previous day to close at 564,525 tonnes as of February 13, 2025, as compared with 566,050 tonnes a day before.
