Fire Destroys KL Scrap Yard

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A scrap collection centre in Taman Sungai Besi was destroyed in a fire last night.
Firefighters took nearly two hours to extinguish the blaze.

Senior Operations Commander Kamarulzaman Busirun said four fire engines from the Bandar Tun Razak, Seputeh, Sungai Besi, and Hang Tuah Fire and Rescue Stations were dispatched to the scene.
'Foam sprays were used to prevent the fire from spreading, and the flames were brought under control by 10.20pm,' he said in a statement today.
Kamarulzaman said the fire was completely extinguished by 10.55pm, with the premises sustaining 100 per cent damage.
He said 72 officers and personnel were involved in the firefighting operation.
'The cause of the fire is still under investigation,' he added.
