Green Bay Packaging To Acquire Missouri-Based Packaging Company

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Green Bay Packaging Inc. (GBP)announced successful acquisition of Springfield, Missouri-based SMC Packaging Group. The transaction marks a significant milestone for both the companies. Founded in 1972, SMC Packaging operates multiple facilities across Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, offering innovative corrugated packaging solutions to its customers.

Further to the transaction, SMC Packaging Group will continue to operate as a corporation which will be under 100% ownership of Green Bay Packaging. Mark McNay, previously Vice President and General Manager of SMC will now become the President of SMC Packaging Group and will report to Bryan Hollenbach, Executive Vice President, GBP. The strategic merger of both the companies will establish a strong presence in the Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma markets.
Bryan Hollenbach stated that it is thrilled that SMC is joining the GBP family. The integration is a perfect cultural fit and will expand the company’s geographic reach. GBP looks forward to continued growth and success of both the companies together, he added.
Meantime, Mark McNay remarked that SMC could not be more excited about joining forces with the team from Green Bay Packaging.
