10th May, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Spiked on Index
The price of 304 SS Turning were up by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum and copper scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index as on 10th May, Friday. Brass, Bronze and Stainless Steel Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 1,200 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 1,200 per MT each.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 1,200 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 600 per MT over the previous day.
The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery increased by CNY 200 per MT when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices were up by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices surged higher by CNY 200 per MT and CNY 450 per MT respectively over the previous day.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were up by CNY 50 per MT on Friday, May 10th, 2024.
Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 200 per MT.
Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers increased by CNY 100 per MT on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 200 per MT.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 200 per MT each on May 10th, 2024.
Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90%NF prices were up by CNY 100 per MT and CNY 50 per MT respectively on Index.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on 10th May, 2024.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.
304 SS Solid prices increased by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
The price of 304 SS Turning were up by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
309 SS and 316 SS prices surged higher by CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.
310 SS Solid scrap prices rose by CNY 150 per MT on May 10th, 2024.
Shred SS prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT over the day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal increase from the previous day.
Brass Radiator prices were up by CNY 50 per MT on May 10th, 2024.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
