9th May, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index
Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices were flat on Index.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index as on 9th May, Thursday. Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Brass, Bronze, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 150 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 150 per MT each.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 150 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery held steady when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices were flat on Index.
Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices witnessed no change over the previous day.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were steady on Thursday, May 9th, 2024.
Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices recorded no variation on Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 150 per MT.
Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers increased by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 150 per MT.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 150 per MT each on May 9th, 2024.
Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90%NF prices were up by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on 9th May, 2024.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.
304 SS Solid prices too witnessed no change over the previous day.
The price of 304 SS Turning were flat on Index.
309 SS and 316 SS prices recorded no change when compared with the prior day.
310 SS Solid scrap prices were unchanged on May 9th, 2024.
Shred SS prices too were flat over the day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change from the previous day.
Brass Radiator prices were flat on May 9th, 2024.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too held steady on Index.
