SilverCrest Declared First Precious Metal Pour at Mexican Mine

The plant, which commenced in late May this year, has milled approximately 12,700 tonnes of low-grade ore during the month of June.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Vancouver, B.C.-based SilverCrest Metals Inc. reported the first pour of gold and silver at its Las Chispas mine in Sonora, Mexico. The pour comprised of 312 kilograms of dore, with approximately 9,200 ounces of silver and 100 ounces of gold. The pour was successfully completed on 30th June, 2022.

Commenting on the milestone achievement, N. Eric Fier, CEO, SilverCrest noted that the first pour marks another significant milestone in progressing towards commercial production in the final quarter this year. He acknowledged the hard work of the team and thanked everyone for their contributions in completing the construction of Las Chispas, ahead of schedule and under budget.

Pierre Beaudoin, COO commented that the company is pleased with the initial trajectory of the plant commissioning and is encouraged by some of the operating indicators. The company expects to release revised underground mining rates in its updated technical report to be released in H1 2023, he added.
