Cascades Announced Launch of York, Pennsylvania Facility
The York facility is expected to help the company expand its presence in the East, thus strengthening its position as a strategic partner throughout North America.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Cascades, Inc, announced that it has commissioned a new production facility for its northbox product line at York, Pennsylvania.
According to company press release, the Cascades Enviropac – York is the second facility to be opened in four months to support Cascades' growth in the isothermal packaging solutions market. It must be noted that the inaugural site was commissioned in Tacoma in the Western U.S. The new facility will have a state-of-the-art, highly automated packaging line for the production of its isothermal boxes.
The York facility is expected to help the company expand its presence in the East, thus strengthening its position as a strategic partner throughout North America.

Also, Cascades rolled out its expansion plan in the isothermal packaging market by enhancing its line of meal boxes. The innovative northbox® XTEND technology creates a moisture barrier that helps keep the insulation rigid. The packaging ensures that food will be maintained fresh during long transit times and in regions with higher temperatures. Made of recycled cardboard, the packaging solution delivers significant operational gains to customers.
The latest Sustainability Action Plan published by the company aims to have 100% of its manufactured packaging be recyclable, compostable or reusable by 2030.
