1st September, 2021: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped Significantly on Index

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 300 per MT.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese Copper and Aluminum scrap prices declined significantly on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 1st, Wednesday. Brass, Bronze scrap prices witnessed decline on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices held steady over the day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 1,100 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 1,100 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 550 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery witnessed decline by CNY 300 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices were down by CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively.

Cu/Al Radiator and Heater Cores prices recorded decline by CNY 300 per MT and CNY 400 per MT respectively on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices were down by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 300 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 300 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers edged lower by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 300 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices witnessed decline by CNY 300 per MT each on September 1st, 2021.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices reported declines by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively over the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 1st September, 2021.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices remained unchanged over the previous day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed no change on Index.

316 SS Solid scrap prices held steady over the day on September 1st, 2021.

Shred SS prices witnessed no change on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT on September 1st, 2021.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.
