Constellium Recorded Resilient Results Despite Pandemic Challenges

For the full-year 2020, the revenue posted substantial decline by 17% to €4.9 billion, compared to 2019.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Paris, France-headquartered Constellium SE- the global leader in development and manufacturing of high value-added aluminum products and solutions announced fourth quarter and full-year 2020 results.

The company reported revenue of €1.2 billion in Q4 2020, significantly down by 9% when compared with the corresponding quarter in 2019. The net income surged higher from €22 million to €26 million over the year. The adjusted EBITDA of €111 million was down by 8% year-on-year. Constellium reported cash from operations of €71 million and free cash flow of €28 million. The quarterly shipments were up marginally by 2% at 374,000 metric tons.

For the full-year 2020, the revenue posted substantial decline by 17% to €4.9 billion, compared to 2019. It reported net loss of €17 million compared to net income of €64 million in 2019. The adjusted EBITDA of €465 million was down 17%. The cumulative cash from operations and free cash flow in 2020 stood at €334 million and €157 million respectively. The total shipments during the year witnessed 10% decline to 1.4 million metric tons.

Jean-Marc Germain, CEO, Constellium said that the company delivered resilient results in 2020 despite the significant challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company is well-positioned to be a significant beneficiary of recent trends such as lightweighting in transportation, the electrification of the automotive fleet, and customer preference for infinitely recyclable aluminium cans, he added.
