Former Wisconsin E-Scrap Company President Sentenced to 18 Months Imprisonment

The judge highlighted that Moss’ conduct is highly inexplicable, given his life history prior to joining 5R.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A former executive of the now defunct 5R Processors has been sentenced to 18 months in prison. James Moss had served as the Wisconsin-based company’s president.

Moss had pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to store and transport CRT glass, without required permits. He has also pleaded guilty to federal tax violations. In a court statement, Moss apologized for his part in the company’s legal troubles. He had realized his mistake in late 2015 and had been willing to correct the mistakes and be accountable for the company’s illegal activities.

The judge highlighted that Moss’ conduct is highly inexplicable, given his life history prior to joining 5R. Moss had previously worked in law enforcement department as chief of police. The judge commended Moss for fully co-operating with investigators in revealing the illegal activities undertaken by the company.
