Keurig Dr Pepper Announced Solid Progress on Sustainability Goals

According to the report, the company obtained 47% of its energy through renewable resources.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Keurig Dr Pepper announced publication of its 2019 Corporate Sustainability Report, which highlights the solid advancements made during the past one year on its ambitious sustainability goals, in the midst of unprecedented challenges posed by global health crisis. As part of its ongoing commitment to reduce carbon footprint, the company added fresh emissions reduction targets.

During the previous year, the company had introduced a new corporate responsibility platform, Drink Well. Do Good, through which it established ambitious goals and commitments. Towards the end of the year, it entered into a partnership with the American Beverage Association to launch the Every Bottle Back initiative that focuses on expanding recycling infrastructure and educating consumers.

According to the report, the company obtained 47% of its energy through renewable resources. Keurig Dr Pepper used 20% post-consumer recycled content in its packaging and achieved zero waste to landfill in its hot beverage network. Also, 88% of the total waste was kept out of landfills.

The company has provided 14.2 million children and families with play opportunities since 2011. It has funded $3.5 million in Let’s Play initiatives and $1 million in tuition grants.
