18th August, 2020: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Saw Mixed Trend on Index
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing prices edged higher by CNY 100 per MT each over the previous day.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper and stainless steel scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index as on August 18th, Tuesday. Aluminum scrap prices declined, whereas Brass and Bronze scrap prices remained unchanged on Index. Steel scrap prices held steady.
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing prices edged higher by CNY 100 per MT each over the previous day.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also was up by CNY 100 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices remained flat. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery held steady over the previous day.
Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.
Cu/Al Radiator prices remained unchanged.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady on Tuesday, August 18th.
Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed a decline of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 100 per MT.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers declined by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices registered decline by CNY 100 per MT.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT each on 18th August, 2020.
The prices of UBC dipped by CNY 50 per MT.
Zorba 90% INF held steady on Index.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on 18th August, 2020.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
309 SS and 316 SS prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the prior day.
310 SS Solid scrap prices increased by CNY 50 per MT on August 18th, 2020.
Shred SS prices too inched higher by CNY 50 per MT over the day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged on Index.
Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on August 18th, 2020.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
