8th October, 2019: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Posted Heavy Decline on Index
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 200 per MT.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese Copper scrap prices declined modestly on ScrapMonster Price Index as on October 8th, Tuesday. Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices witnessed slight decline on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices held steady over the day.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 350 per MT each.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 350 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 200 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too was down by CNY 100 per Mt over the previous day.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019.
Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved on Index.
Old Cast prices too were flat on 8th October, 2019.
The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.
Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on 8th October, 2019.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices declined by CNY 50 per MT.
304 SS Solid prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT.
The price of 304 SS Turning dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed decline by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively.
316 SS Solid scrap prices edged lower by CNY 150 per MT over the day on October 8th, 2019.
Shred SS prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.
Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day on October 8th, 2019.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
