Spanish Crude Steel output down 12.6 percent in Jan-Sep

Spanish crude steel output amounted to 1.2 million metric tons in September this year, down 12 percent year-on-year despite a 23 percent month-on-month growth, according to the Spanish steelmakers association Unesid.

MADRID (Scrap Monster): Spanish crude steel output amounted to 1.2 million metric tons in September this year, down 12 percent year-on-year despite a 23 percent month-on-month growth, according to the Spanish steelmakers association Unesid.

In the first three quarters of the current year, Spain's crude steel output decreased by 12.6 percent compared to the same period of 2011, falling to 10.6 million mt.
