US H1 scrap average price remain flat for third week in a row
The US H1 scrap average prices remained flat at $210.83 per long ton as on 31st August, 2015.
ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap average prices were at $210.83 per long ton, as on 31st August, 2015. The prices have remained flat when compared with the previous week. This is the third consecutive week that US H1 scrap average prices have remained steady.
The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $210.83 per long ton, remaining flat when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at the same price during the week ended 24th August, 2015.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $209.50 per long ton. The average price held steady when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $224.50 per long ton. The prices here too remained flat when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $198.50 per long ton. The prices here witnessed no change when compared with the week before.
Meantime, the weekly crude steel output dropped by 2.2% during the week from Aug 23rd to Aug 29th. The output dropped by 39,000 short tons to 1.703 million short tons during the week.
