Winnebago, WI County Solid Waste to Host Boat Wrap Recycling Event

This first-time County event allows boat owners and marine businesses the opportunity to keep boat wrap plastic out of the landfill, and have it recycled with Becher Plastics in Neenah!

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Winnebago County Solid Waste has partnered with Becher Plastics in Neenah to collect and recycle boat shrink wrap on June 1st. This first-time County event allows boat owners and marine businesses the opportunity to keep boat wrap plastic out of the landfill, and have it recycled with Becher Plastics in Neenah! 

EVENT DETAILS: 

Date: Saturday, June 1, 2024 

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Location: 2240 Harrison St. Neenah, WI 54956 

The wrap must be free of all non-shrink wrap material, including the plastic straps used to cinch the wrap to the belly of the boat. Contaminated material will not be accepted. 

When recycling boat shrink wrap: 

Please follow these important instructions 

-Remove all rope, strapping, wood frames, doors, zippers, and other non-shrink material. 

-Shrink wrap should be clean and dry. 

-Roll shrink wrap and tie it using a strip of shrink wrap.
