SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Suwannee Lumber Company mill caught fire early Sunday morning in Dixie County. Officials say the fire involved the mill’s dry kiln.
Dixie County Fire Rescue crews got the call about the flames around 9a.m. on Sunday, officials say. The flames reached above the building’s stacks, one passerby told TV20.
Crews will likely be battling the flames until late Sunday evening, according to the Dixie County Fire Rescue. The Cross City Fire Department and the Fanning Springs Fire Rescue are helping the Dixie County crews keep the fire contained.
