Although second-quarter production remained below the record level achieved during the same period last year, the company attributed the difference to its planned mining schedule and temporary limitations in accessing richer ore bodies during the first half of 2026.

Summary
  • Caledonia Mining's Blanket Mine produced 17,360 ounces of gold in Q2 2026, up 18% from the previous quarter due to improved access to higher-grade ore.
  • The company expects stronger production in the second half of 2026, supported by higher ore grades, an upgraded elution plant, and a seven-day operating schedule.
  • Caledonia maintained its full-year production guidance of 72,000–76,500 ounces from the Blanket Mine.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Caledonia Mining Corporation reported stronger gold production from its Blanket Mine in Zimbabwe during the second quarter of 2026. The output rose significantly from the previous quarter, primarily due to increased access to higher-grade ore zones.

The company produced 17,360 ounces of gold during the April-June period, marking an 18% increase from the first quarter's production of 14,767 ounces. The average processed grade reached 2.88 grams per tonne during the quarter. The mining results for July indicate a further increase, with grades exceeding 3 grams per tonne.

Caledonia Mining Announced Record Output from Blanket Gold Mine

Although second-quarter production remained below the record level achieved during the same period last year, the company attributed the difference to its planned mining schedule and temporary limitations in accessing richer ore bodies during the first half of 2026.

Caledonia expects production to strengthen further in the remaining months of the year as several operational improvements take effect. These include expanded access to high-grade mining areas, completion of an upgrade to the mine's elution plant, and increased ore processing on account of a seven-day operating schedule.

Caledonia Mining maintained its full-year production forecast of 72,000 to 76,500 ounces from the Blanket Mine, driven by stronger output throughout the second half of 2026.
