SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A worker died at U.S. Steel’s Granite City Works facility Saturday morning, U.S. Steel said in a statement.
The identity of the employee was not released on Sunday. The statement said U.S. Steel was “working to understand the circumstances around this tragedy” but did not provide further details about what happened. It said it will fully cooperate with investigations into the incident.
“There are no words that can capture the grief we feel for our colleague, their family, friends and coworkers,” the statement said.
