Nucor Corporation reported record quarterly shipments, with total steel shipments reaching 7.4 million short tons in the first quarter of 2026, representing an 8.7% increase from 6.8 million short tons in the first quarter of 2025.
This figure, exceeding 7 million short tons, marks the highest quarterly shipment volume in Nucor's history, reflecting strong execution by its steel mills and continued growth from recently completed projects.
Nucor said its orders reached 4.7 million short tons in the first quarter, the highest level since the second quarter of 2021. The company expects full-year shipments to grow by more than 5%, driven by strong demand from data centers and the energy sector, as well as the enforcement of trade laws.
