PLASTICS Launches New Campaign to Promote Plastic Recycling and Circular Economy
The association urged everyone to ensure broad participation in its efforts during the week.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) is marking Plastic Recycling Week, taking place from November 10–16, 2025, with a week-long campaign highlighting innovations and advancements across the plastic recycling value chain.
During the campaign, PLASTICS will partner with industry leaders to share key insights on recycling progress, challenges, and opportunities aimed at strengthening the U.S. recycling system. The initiative will spotlight technological innovations, collaborative partnerships, and strategies designed to foster a more circular economy for plastics.

PLASTICS is encouraging widespread participation from industry stakeholders and the general public. The association is calling on communities to engage in local recycling efforts, explore new ways to reduce plastic waste, and support initiatives that prevent valuable materials from ending up in landfills. “Plastic Recycling Week is an opportunity to recognize the positive impact recycling has on both our environment and our economy every day,” said Matt Seaholm, President and CEO of PLASTICS.
The association also urged everyone to join the conversation on social media and follow campaign updates using the hashtag #PlasticRecyclingWeek.
This annual celebration aims to raise awareness, promote sustainable practices, and highlight the critical role of recycling technologies in building a greener future.
