Precious Metal Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report (October 3-9, 2025)

Silver scrap prices saw a jump of 3.42% over the week.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap gold, silver and platinum prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked soared during the previous week (October 3 to 9, 2025) on the ScrapMonster Price Index.

In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices continued to rise further, edginmh higher significantly by $ 91.42 per Oz during the week.

The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap also recorded notable jumps by $ 117.21 per Oz and $ 143.16 per Lb respectively. The chart below provides an illustration of the price movement in 18-carat gold scrap over the previous week:

 

9-carat gold scrap prices increased by $ 4.18% week-on-week. The price of Platinum scrap witnessed a modest jump of $ 53.23 per Oz to reach $ 1,212.53 per Oz. Silver scrap prices saw a jump of 3.42% over the week.

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices edged higher by $ 86.45 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap also went up by $ 110.83 and $ 135.36 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also increased by $ 55.42 per Oz.

The price of Platinum scrap closed the week at $1212.53, recording an increase of $53.23 per Oz from the opening price of $1,159.30 per Oz. The weekly price movement in platinum scrap prices is displayed in the following chart:

 

Also, Silver scrap prices inched higher by 3.38% from the prior week.
