B2Gold Achieved Commercial Production at Goose Mine

The company has reached commercial production three months after making its first gold pour.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): International gold producer B2Gold Corporation, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, declared that Goose Mine in Nunavut, Canada, has formally achieved commercial production. According to a corporate news release, the mine, which is located in the Back River Gold District, achieved the significant milestone on October 2, 2025.

Three months after its initial gold pour, the business has achieved commercial production. The commercial production was declared following an internal commercial production measure of 30 consecutive days of mill throughput averaging 65% or greater, based on a design capacity of 4,000 tonnes per day (t/d).

The mill produced 2,652 t/d on average between September 3 and October 2, 2025, which is 66% of its design capacity. Additionally, starting on September 19, it reached an average throughput of 3,249 t/d, or 81.2% of design capacity. Furthermore, according to the B2Gold news release, gold recoveries during the 30-day commercial production phase have been consistent with expectations.

Approximately 8–10% of B2Gold's production projection for the year across all operations will come from Goose Mine, which is expected to produce 80,000–110,000 oz. of gold this year. Additionally, it is anticipated that production will reach 250,000 and 330,000 ounces in 2026 and 2027, respectively.
