Novelis 2025 Sustainability Report Highlights Notable Progress
The company aims to achieve 75% average recycled content in its products by 2030.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The sustainability report for the fiscal year 2025 (April 1, 2024–March 31, 2025) was published by Novelis, Inc. The company's progress toward its previously declared Novelis 3x30 companywide ambition to promote aluminum as the preferred material with circular solutions is detailed in the report.
According to the research, the company's implementation of novel technologies in remelt furnaces resulted in a 10% reduction in Scope 1 and location-based Scope 2 & Scope 3 greenhouse gas intensity during the previous fiscal year.

The business accomplished a number of noteworthy sustainability benchmarks. Over 84 billion used beverage cans were recycled. Across its product line, Novelis reported an average recycled content of 63%. The business saw an 8% decrease in water intensity and a 12% decrease in trash to landfill intensity. According to the report, Novelis also gave $8.8 million to the areas where its workers reside and work.
By 2030, the corporation wants its products to have an average of 75% recycled material. With fewer than 3 tons of Carbon dioxide equivalent per tonne of FRP supplied, it also aims to become the lowest emissions supplier of FRP aluminum.
Francisco Pires, SVP and Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Novelis noted that the report demonstrates the company’s successful alignment of its business strategy with circular economy principles.
