Florida Lumber Company Announced Official Grand Opening of New Pensacola Facility

The new facility is expected to enhance the company’s regional supply chain.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Clearwater, Florida- headquartered Tibbetts Lumber Co. announced grand opening of its new Pensacola facility. The new facility is located on Michigan Ave., Pensacola. The new facility was built with the support from FloridaWest Economic Development Alliance.

The company acquired the D&M Truss plant from its long-time owner Jim Dickerson. Following the acquisition, Tibbetts Lumber Co. declared major construction plans, aimed at upgrading the facility. It implemented major capital investment project valued at approximately $8 million in the property. The construction works, which commenced in September 2023, was completed ahead of original schedule. Consequently, the facility became fully operational in March this year.

The new facility is expected to enhance the company’s regional supply chain. Also, it will strengthen the partnerships and resources available to builders and contractors throughout Northwest Florida.

Commenting on the development, Kyle Hooker, Executive Chairman, Tibbetts Lumber Co. stated that the company is excited to enter the Pensacola and Panhandle markets and that it is committed to earning trust of customers in the region.

Tibbetts Lumber Co. was founded in 2009 by Linton N. Tibbetts, and his grandson and executive chairman, Kyle Hooker.
