BIR Session to Focus on Global Perspectives and Outlook on Recovered Paper
The session will be packed with fresh insights and global expertise.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The BIR Paper Division will hold a special plenary session at the next BIR World Recycling Convention and Exhibition. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 15:15 to 17:00. Global perspectives and the prognosis for recovered paper will be the main topics of discussion throughout the session.
The BIR press statement states that divisional president Francisco Donoso would preside over the meeting. Both BIR members and non-members are welcome to attend the 1.45-hour seminar. Companies that are BIR members will be required to pay a special registration cost of €125. For information on registration costs and requirements, non-members must get in touch with the BIR Secretariat.
The meeting will be jam-packed with new ideas and international knowledge. Along with a detailed examination of the impact of recent U.S. tariff actions and the continuation of imports into Asia, it will offer market updates for Southeast Asia, India, Europe, and the United States. Furthermore, it is anticipated that a local Southeast Asian specialist will discuss the most recent advancements in paper recycling in the area.
Renowned Paper Division Board Members Simone Scaramuzzi, Ranjit Baxi, Marc Ehrlich, Dominique Maguin, and other representatives of the US and European industries will share their strategic perspectives during the plenary session.
