Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- July 25, 2025
The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,645.00 a day before to $2,646.50 per tonne.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from July 18 to July 24, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The aluminum scrap prices in the region witnessed increase over the prior week. However, a few commodities held steady.
The prices of E.C. Aluminum Wire and 6063 Extrusions/Fe reported the largest increase on the Index. The other scrap commodities to witness notable jump in prices were 6061 Extrusions and Zorba 90% NF.
Prices for E.C. Aluminum Wire increased by 1.71% from the previous week. From $1.17 per pound at the beginning of the week, prices increased by $0.02 per pound to close at $1.19 per pound on the Index.

The price of 6063 Extrusions/Fe also recorded a jump by 1.47% during the previous week. 6061 Extrusions and Zorba 90% NF prices increased as well, by 1.41% and 1.39% respectively.
The only aluminum scrap commodities to maintain previous week price levels were Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery and Mixed Aluminum Turnings.
The regional scrap aluminum prices mostly edged higher when compared with the prior week. The top three gainers were E.C. Aluminum Wire, 6063 Extrusions/Fe and 6061 Extrusions.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, A/Cu Radiators/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 5052 Scrap, Chrome Wheels, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, Zorba 90% NF, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean) and MLC Clips also recorded increase over the previous week.
In the meantime, Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery and Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices held steady over the prior week.
The prices mostly reported increase when compared with the week before.
The price of E.C. Aluminum Wire increased 1.71% during the course of the week, from $1.17 per pound at the start of the week to $1.19 per pound at the close.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions/Fe increased by 1.49% on a weekly basis, from $0.67 per pound to $0.68 per pound in the week that ended on July 24, 2025. Below is the weekly price chart for the commodity:
6061 Extrusions prices were up by 1.43% on a weekly basis.
All other aluminum scrap categories in the region saw price increases during the course of the week, with the exception of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery and Mixed Aluminum Turnings.
The regional prices of all scrap aluminum categories, except a few, posted week-on-week jump.
E.C. Aluminum Wire, 6063 Extrusions/Fe and 6061 Extrusions recorded the highest jump in prices during the week.
The prices of E.C. Aluminum Wire on the Index closed at $1.19 per pound, up $0.02 per pound. The commodity saw an increase of 1.71% in price week over week.
6063 Extrusions/Fe prices increased from $0.69 per Lb at the beginning of the week to close at $0.70 per Lb.
Prices for 6061 Extrusions scrap increased by 1.41% from the previous week. The commodity's price increased from $0.71 per Lb to $0.72 per Lb over the previous week. The weekly price movement for 6061 Extrusions scrap is seen in the chart below:
5052 Scrap witnessed the least increase, with prices recording nominal week-on-week rise by 0.93%.
In the meantime, prices of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery and Mixed Aluminum Turnings held steady upon comparison with the previous week’s price.
The aluminum scrap commodities in the region witnessed increase during the week ending July 24, 2025.
The prices of Old Cast and Old Sheet registered the biggest move, rising by 1.38% when compared with the previous week’s price. The closing price of both the above commodities stood at CNY 18,350 per MT.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions recorded a jump of 1.37%. Also, E.C. Aluminum Wire and Aluminum ingots prices were up by 1.29% and 1.22% respectively over the previous day’s prices. The below chart depicts the weekly price variation in the prices of Aluminum ingots:
Also, prices of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Transformers, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF recorded marginal increase on the Index during the week ended July 24, 2025.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices witnessed an increase of 1.66% from the prior week’s prices. The commodity’s prices closed at INR 245,000 per Ton as of Thursday, July 24, 2025. The weekly price chart of Aluminum utensil scrap is provided below:
The Aluminum ingots prices also recorded slight jump by 1.6% on the ScrapMonster Index.
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,648.50 per tonne as of July 24, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,645.00 a day before to $2,646.50 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks edged down modestly over the previous day to close at 448,100 tonnes as of July 24, 2025, as compared with 444,800 tonnes a day before.
