July 16, 2025: Scrap Gold and Silver Prices Dropped, Platinum Increased on the Index

The price of Platinum scrap edged higher by $ 5.83 per Oz on the Index. Silver scrap prices were down by $ 0.55 per Oz.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined marginally as of Wednesday, July 16, 2025 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. The prices of scrap silver too fell whereas Platinum witnessed increase on the Index.
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 3.41 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22 carat gold scrap went down by $ 4.38 per Oz and $ 5.35 per Oz respectively. 9-carat gold scrap also edged lower by $ 2.19 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap edged higher by $ 5.83 per Oz on the Index. Silver scrap prices were down by $ 0.55 per Oz.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices inched lower by $ 3.23 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22 carat gold scrap too went down by $ 4.14 per Oz and $ 5.05 per Oz respectively. 9-carat gold scrap also declined by $ 2.07 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap was up by $ 5.83 per Oz over the previous day. Silver scrap prices dipped by $0.53 per Oz to touch $ 27.67 per Oz on the Index.
