Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- June 27, 2025
The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,555.50 a day before to $2,573.50 per tonne.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from June 20 to June 26, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The regional aluminum scrap prices witnessed increase over the prior week. However, a few commodities held steady.
The prices of Mixed Aluminum Turnings and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe reported the largest increase on the Index. The other scrap commodities to witness notable jump in prices were 5052 Scrap and Al/Cu Radiators.
Prices for Mixed Aluminum Turnings increased by 2.22% from the previous week. From $0.45 per pound at the beginning of the week, prices increased by $0.01 per pound to close at $0.46 per pound on the Index.

The price of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe also recorded a jump by 2.03% during the previous week. 5052 Scrap and Al/Cu Radiators prices increased as well, by 1.98% and 1.83% respectively.
The only aluminum scrap commodities to maintain previous week price levels were Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery.
The regional scrap aluminum prices mostly edged higher when compared with the prior week. The top three gainers were Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and 5052 Scrap.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Chrome Wheels, MLC Clips, , Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC and Zorba 90% NF also recorded increase over the previous week.
In the meantime, Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices held steady over the prior week.
The prices mostly reported increase when compared with the week before.
The price of Mixed Aluminum Turnings increased 2.27% during the course of the week, from $0.44 per pound at the start of the week to $0.45 per pound at the close.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe increased by 2.05% on a weekly basis, from $1.95 per pound to $1.99 per pound in the week that ended on June 26, 2025. Below is the weekly price chart for the commodity:
5052 Scrap prices were up by 2.0% on a weekly basis.
All other aluminum scrap categories in the region saw price increases during the course of the week, with the exception of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery.
The regional prices of all scrap aluminum categories, except a few, posted week-on-week jump.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and 5052 Scrap recorded the highest jump in prices during the week.
The prices of Mixed Aluminum Turnings on the Index closed at $0.46 per pound, up $0.01 per pound. The commodity saw an increase of 2.22% in price week over week.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices increased from $1.99 per Lb at the beginning of the week to close at $2.03 per Lb.
Prices for 5052 Scrap increased by 1.96% from the previous week. The commodity's price increased from $1.02 per Lb to $1.04 per Lb over the previous week. The weekly price movement for 5052 Scrap is seen in the chart below:
E.C. Aluminum Wire witnessed the least increase, with prices recording nominal week-on-week rise by 0.88%.
In the meantime, prices of Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery held steady upon comparison with the previous week’s price.
The aluminum scrap commodities in the region witnessed marginal increase during the week ending June 26, 2025.
The prices of Old Cast and Old Sheet registered a jump of 0.83% each during the week. The closing price of both the above commodities stood at CNY 18,150 per MT, in comparison with CNY 18,000 per MT at the beginning of the week. The prices of 6063 Extrusions recorded an increase of 0.82%. Meanwhile, E.C. Aluminum Wire and Aluminum ingots were up by 0.78% and 0.73% respectively.
Also, prices of Aluminum Transformers, Aluminum Radiators, UBC, and Zorba 90% NF recorded week-on-week increase on the Index during the week ended June 26, 2025.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices witnessed a jump of 0.43% from the prior week’s prices. The commodity’s prices closed at INR 236,000 per Ton as of Thursday, June 26, 2025.
The Aluminum ingots prices also recorded marginal increase by 0.41% on the ScrapMonster Index. The weekly price chart of Aluminum ingots scrap is provided below:
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.
LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,575.00 per tonne as of June 26, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,555.50 a day before to $2,573.50 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks edged lower modestly over the previous day to close at 336,900 tonnes as of June 26, 2025, as compared with 337,900 tonnes a day before.
